About the Book

She's off limits. He has none. There's a girl. Beautiful. Popular. Fake. And my obsession. My fall. Probably my damnation. Did that stop me? Do I care? No and no.

There's a line between right and wrong, moral and immoral. And then there's her. I cross every limit with blood-coated fingers. She says she hates me. I say I hate her too, as I trap her, own her, make her all mine.

Set at Royal Elite School, the story centers on Cole Nash — a young man forever changed by a childhood kidnapping he and two friends survived at age eight — and Silver Queens, a girl the world knows only as cold and perfect. Cole and his fellow Horsemen, Aiden, Xander, and Ronan, all carry the deep psychological scars of that shared childhood trauma, but only Cole and Silver ever developed a hidden bond no one else knew about, built quietly in stolen conversations away from prying eyes. Cole and Silver have a complicated shared past, with flashbacks throughout the novel helping to unpack the tangled history between them, revealing that his tendency to torment her springs from something far more complicated than it first appears.

Gentleman in public, monster in private — Cole is possessive and protective in equal measure, and as the walls between them come down, both he and Silver are forced to confront feelings neither expected to survive. Told in dual perspectives, the novel reveals a side of Silver readers haven't seen before, alongside a plot twist many reviewers say they never saw coming.

Ruthless Empire can be read as a standalone, though for a fuller understanding of the Royal Elite world, starting with Deviant King is recommended.
